Cool Stats

Ok, stick with me on this for a second... even if you aren't a baseball fan - this stuff is pretty interesting.

protrade.com has posted their Moneyball Player Salaries. They put each professional baseball player into some series of formula to come up with what that player _should_ be paid currently.

Now, of course, we'll all look at these numbers and question the definition of the word "should"... but once you accept that pro athletes are going to make way more than anyone should for doing anything (!) it's pretty interesting to look at which players are really earning their keep.

Check it out here

Looks like the Brewers are going to lose half their team next year! But last night's game was so much fun that a fan vote in the stadium would have gotten them ALL a raise!

Except for Ricky Weeks--Dad and Rick Higgins thought he should be fired.

And then there's Dan Kolb...who was booed off the field...

But the rest of them, WOW!

Thanks for passing along. That's an interesting site. Most of the famous guys and most popular ones are grossly overpaid, according to this. Fair to say that their star appeal is worth more to these teams in putting butts in seats than their play on the field.

Pujols is worth $35 million?!!? Wow.

Wow! The thing about it though... I would rather have Pujols than the whole Royals team anyway!
