Google Analytics

Those of you with blogs of your own should definitely check out Google Analytics.

Basically it's a tool that will give you a report of how many people are visiting your site and even where they are coming from: Did they click a link on someone else's site, or just type in your URL? And where is the person geographically.

Cool stuff and it's really easy to set up. All you need is a Google account (which you may already have anyway) and then you can get everything running pretty quick! Check it out: http://www.google.com/analytics/

Inserting the javascript into the template by pose a problem for some less tech-saavy users.

Also, it took a good 24 hours before they updated with my stats, so it appears to be pretty delayed.

Rob brings up a valid point. It is a pretty simple change... but if you've never updated your Blogger template: lemme know and I can help you out.

If you don't have a google account - I might recommend the free version of SiteMeter - which I have used for almost a year with no issues at all - and access to the same info that Jim talks about....
